Summary and Scope
The Field Technician/Laborer will be contracted at an assigned, local job site and is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down temporary facilities. Performs troubleshooting and preventative maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient job site. Day-to-day duties include, but are not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical, administrative, laundry facilities upkeep, and ground maintenance tasks as assigned.
Essential Functions
- Perform general maintenance functions for plumbing systems.
- Perform general maintenance functions for electrical systems.
- Perform basic general maintenance on HVAC systems.
- Perform general maintenance functions for temporary facilities, buildings, and tented structures, to include carpentry or similar repairs.
- Install all above systems under guidance of licensed or trained supervisors.
- Perform ground maintenance and limited site work tasks as needed.
- Perform equipment operation onsite as required (training will be provided).
- Perform daily/scheduled maintenance checks and services on government equipment, company trucks and equipment.
- Operate site equipment to include but not limited to forklifts, tractors, work carts, yard maintenance equipment, skid steers (training will be provided)
- Assist with maintenance of water and wastewater systems on project site
- Repair company equipment as needed to maintain serviceable condition
- Coordinate service calls when required
- Perform general administrative functions
- Perform general laundry functions
- Other duties as assigned

Skills and Specifications
- Basic mechanical skills
- Knowledge of and ability to operate basic hand and power tools.
- Great organizational skills
- General knowledge of safe working practices
- Read and interpret owners manuals, equipment schematics and work orders
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Have a clean driving record (able to drive company vehicles).
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills
- Ability to learn and follow safety instructions
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills
- Flexible scheduling to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
