Reporting to the AVP, Open Banking the Senior Manager, Open Banking will be accountable for supporting the growth and management of the Open Banking portfolio. You will work closely with stakeholders in the United States and Canada both internal and external to TD to act as the 'voice' of Open Banking. You will take necessary actions to build on TD's Open Banking strategy and ensure the strategies’ success. This is a highly strategic and consulting role and TD is seeking an experienced candidate who can help socialize, build awareness of and evolve TD's Open Banking narrative and vision.

As a Senior Manager, you are naturally curious and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your passionate about launching new products, excited about working on innovative solutions and have a proven track record of success. You will interface with a variety of TD businesses, working on a highly visible mandate with enterprise wide impact. The successful candidate’s accountabilities and responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to TD's enterprise Open Banking strategy and Line of Business specific strategies.

  • Engaging with stakeholders, including at senior levels, to understand issues and translate that into strategic direction and actions for the Open Banking portfolio.

  • Conducting ongoing industry and competitive analysis to obtain market insights and deepen team's functional expertise on all topics related to open banking and open finance.

  • Coordinating and preparing thought leadership positions, executive briefs, presentation materials etc. as required by key stakeholders, leadership and the senior executive team.

  • Sourcing, developing and curating ideas that will deliver value to customers with Open Banking. You will help lead the ideation process and determine which ideas should be promoted to drive Customer value and business outcomes.

  • Developing and communicating TDs Short and long term strategic positions on TDs Open Banking position

  • Interpreting and communicating Canadian and US legislation on Open Banking to cross functional stakeholder groups

  • Developing and representing TD's position in industry forums, standard setting bodies etc.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate would have experience leading strategic partnerships, communicating to an executive level audience, open banking strategy, managing stakeholder relationship

Key requirements include:

  • Entrepreneurial and Critical Thinking - Your naturally curious and can bring external thinking and ideas to identify opportunities. You have the ability to strategize by identifying problem statements and articulating potential solutions, recommendations and a path forward backed by clear rationale.

  • Technology fluency– Proven track record of understanding emerging technology trends or disruptions and delivering or managing complex technology platform or application development programs, products or projects.

  • Industry Knowledge - Has diverse interests and knowledge across various businesses within financial services and ability to dive deep and create a succinct point of view on a chosen topic.

  • Communication - You’re a natural story teller with strong verbal and written communication skills; experienced in engaging and influencing senior executives.

  • Interpersonal skills – Track record of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
