Disney Entertainment Senior Manager, Prediting (Hulu) in Santa Monica, California

The Senior Manager is an in-house role working in Hulu’s Brand Creative team. We are looking for an experienced creative marketing professional with previous experience working with entertainment brands, producing end-to-end creative, and leading creative teams. In this role you will work very closely with the Executive Creative Director to drive the Hulu brand creative forward.

The ideal candidate will be able to juggle managing junior team members, whilst also producing/editing best in class creative - including leading on high priority campaigns, scripting, editing, directing voiceovers and shoots when required. In this role you will project manage and keep stakeholders informed on progress from conception to completion. Additionally, you will need to show and demonstrate leadership by inspiring your respective teams and developing their skillsets.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a leader, managing and mentoring, whilst inspiring and guiding junior creatives - identifying and developing their skills base

  • Present, “sell-in", and communicate creative concepts and timelines to Executive Creative Director and senior stakeholders

  • Brief and manage external agencies

  • Ensure consistency across multiple brands over a wide range of executions (sometimes supervising them), ensuring high quality outputs are delivered on time

  • Make decisions/manage rounds of approval on creative concepts within the area of responsibility and within pre-set guidelines to ensure consistency with brand guidelines and wider product strategy

  • Build and manage relationships with other lines of business - communicating and agreeing creative direction

  • Ensure quality, compliance, and integrity across all work delivered

  • Source and select appropriate imagery and graphical assets and apply within brand guidelines.

  • Work closely with the Executive Creative Director to ensure creative development is aligned and evolves alongside the service look and feel

  • Effective management of own personal workload

Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading and managing in-house teams and driving results

  • 7+ years as a skilled editor

  • Experience in managing and presenting to senior stakeholders

  • Experience working in a high profile, fast moving, consumer facing brand

  • The ability to work against tight deadlines and adapt to changing business demands at short notice

  • Able to multi-task across a number of work streams and deliver against deadlines

  • Deliver within brand and service creative guidelines

  • Experience managing multiple projects at any one time

  • Excellent conceptual creative with writing skills to match

  • Excellent Adobe Premiere Editor

  • Solid Knowledge of After FX

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent stake holder management skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent work experience

Note: this role is currently based in Santa Monica, CA, but is expected to move to Burbank, CA in the near future.

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $148,700.00 to $199,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
