Join the Bariatric Surgery Service as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds,provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered.
This role will work at both Westwood and Santa Monica locations.
Salary range:$84.82 - $121.13/hourly
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association-required
Other: ACLS, PALS, NRP (where applicable)-required
License: CA RN and CA Nurse Practitioner-required
Certifications: State of California NP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, National Certification (i.e. ANCC)-required
Degree: Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing in AG- AC (Acute Care) NP Specialty-required
Additional: NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES- required
Bariatric Surgery and/or experience in surgical setting -required
