Maintenance Tech

**Position Summary:

IEC is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to work at our 146-unit apartment community in San Mateo, California. The Maintenance Technician must have experience working in an apartment community and strong communication and follow-up skills, both with residents and other team members. Self-starter, work well with a team, take initiative as well as ability to take direction from others. The schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday from 8am-5pm and requires the ability to be on-call in case of emergency.

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, leasing office, all common areas, all amenities, to include fitness center, fire pit areas, pool, and BBQ.
  • Walk the grounds to pick up litter, pet waste, etc.
  • Sweep the dumpster areas.
  • Assist maintenance and office staff with various tasks such as posting property correspondence to tenants, such as resident events, and others as assigned.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.
  • Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Demonstrate customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect.
  • Ad-hoc assignments as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Janitorial, familiar with OSHA guidelines
  • Facilities maintenance experience
  • At least 2-3 years of working experience at an apartment community
  • Customer service oriented
  • Availability to work Tuesday - Saturday
  • Available for after-hours emergencies, overtime, and Reginal support
