About the role:

The Account Manager, Wastewater Municipality, manages key customers and prospects within a specific geography, from applying technical expertise to meeting customer needs by being the face of USP Technologies in maintaining and developing an account base. The Account Manager will play a critical role in the growth of the territory, with the flexibility to demonstrate expertise in all aspects of water treatment about the proper and safe application of core technologies to deliver value to the customer and to the company. This position challenges the candidate to utilize experience and learn new skills to prepare for future growth within the company.

We are currently seeking an individual with hands-on experience in wastewater, soil remediation, or similar environmental services to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess a successful track record in this field and not be hesitant to undertake practical work. The position requires relationship management, and as such, the ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with multiple stakeholders.

This position is part of the West Territory located in San Diego, CA and will be a remote position supporting our flagship customer!

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for account administration, contract management, documentation, reviews and reports

  • Identify and establish professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts

  • Troubleshoot technical issues work with technical and management staff to develop retention and growth strategies

  • Support territory growth and profitability goals directly or through team leadership

Are you qualified?

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or another technical area preferred

  • Minimum of 2-5 years in municipal water/wastewater treatment or chemical technology applications experience

  • Proven track record of generating sales revenue while maintaining and growing account base

  • Comfort in working with Salesforce and various data management programs

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus / Incentive Pay.
