Description We are seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our team in Rochester, New York. The role involves the procurement of goods and services, making use of ERP solutions and maintaining strong relations with suppliers. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Procure goods and services as required by the organization, ensuring the best quality and price.

• Utilize ERP solutions such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and IBM AS/400 for efficient purchasing and inventory management.

• Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure product availability and timely delivery.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for the management and analysis of purchasing data.

• Apply knowledge of buying processes and component selection in procurement activities.

• Provide excellent customer service, dealing promptly with any issues or inquiries related to purchases.

• Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet purchase deadlines.

• Collaborate with other team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements.

• Regularly review and assess supplier performance to ensure compliance with company standards and expectations. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Experience with ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400

• Proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with About Time software

• Previous role as a Buyer
