Bayer Crop Science Customer Marketing Manager - Business Assurance Area

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Bayer Crop Science, Customer Marketing Manager – Business Assurance are to:

  • Build, update and lead execution of 18 month (current & +1 Market Year) segment strategy to drive value creation from BCS' portfolio of brands and services thru effective communications, promotions, programs and tool (e.g. CRM, 1:1 marketing) utilization;

  • Segment customers and map out customer journey / buying processes to elicit desired and set Behavior Change;

  • Leverage databases to develop targeted, efficient and effective campaigns;

  • Build & design campaign strategies utilizing inbound, outbound, and marketing automation resources;

  • Collaborate with PPM & PH Leadership team & Product Manager to drive prioritization of segment/product support and resource allocation that are aligned with the business objectives;

  • Set performance targets and review effectiveness of initiatives and tactics within market and optimize resource allocation accordingly within and between segments to achieve business goals;

  • Ensure ongoing consistency between asset strategies, brand strategies, go-to-market strategy and market operational plan;

  • Conduct ongoing benchmarking against key competitors at market level (operational structure, launch strategies and lifecycle management strategies);

  • Identify and leverage sources of influence within market (distribution, industry groups, partnerships/NGO's, governmental, etc.) to deliver on customer behavior change;

  • Identify and prioritize opportunities within market for collaboration with US and Global marketing;

  • Identify and make recommendations on resources and personnel required to execute go-to-market strategy and operational plan.

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in a business or appropriate related field, with a minimum ten plus year's relevant experience. Experience in Professional Pest Management or Public Health preferred. Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Marketing; an MBA would be a plus;

  • Excellent oral, written and network communication skills to effectively inform and influence teams. Must be capable of building strategic relations and influencing customer behavior via proper selection of influence tools such as media, events and direct sales contact;

  • Strong analytical and financial planning skills;

  • Aptitude to understand and create long-term strategic plans, including partnerships with groups preparing new products for testing and potential market launch;

  • A proven work history of acting as a team player with outstanding organizational and analytical skills;

  • Ability to collaborate with Marketing counterparts to maximize sales opportunities;

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills necessary to anticipate, pre-empt and deal with volatile, rapidly changing market conditions. A history of successful efforts demonstrating "foresight" of market trends is expected;

  • Deep understanding of end-user, applicator and distribution channel needs and motivators;

  • General computer proficiency including standard email and business software (Microsoft Office).
