Description Are you a Staff Accountant seeking a dynamic opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a reputable organization? Our client, a leading firm in the industry, is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of monthly and yearly financial closings. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to support management and the board of directors. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the finance team to deliver cost accounting services, conduct variance analysis, facilitate period-end financial closings, and participate in operational improvement projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a proactive mindset, and a proven track record of influencing and interacting effectively across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in month and year-end financial closing processes, including tasks such as monthly accruals, revenue reporting, and tonnage scaling data review.

Contribute to the creation of monthly revenue and cost analysis, budget vs. actual reports, and forecasting packages.

Ensure the accuracy and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and provide financial management and analysis for capital improvement projects.

Collaborate with management to develop fiscal year budgets and analyze growth trends to support strategic decision-making.

Handle various tasks such as invoicing, inventory tracking, and standardizing department procedures for training purposes. Additionally, assist with banking coordination, external audits, and the reporting of tonnage and financial data to regulatory authorities.
