The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, general repairs, and emergency repairs on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and control systems. This person should be able to use their abilities to solve difficult equipment and process problems, while working under little supervision.

This position responds promptly to equipment failures or emergencies to diagnose issues, implement corrective actions, and restore equipment functionality in a timely manner in order to minimize production disruptions. This role is part of the Maintenance department located in Pensacola, FL and will be Onsite. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you'll do

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production, facilities, and auxiliary equipment including, but not limited to: Boilers, air compressors, air handlers, chillers, pumps/motors, cooling towers, purified water treatment systems, and instrumentation, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

  • Preventive Maintenance, Calibration, and Validation: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks according to established procedures to proactively identify and address potential issues, prolong equipment lifespan, and maintain regulatory compliance. Conduct calibration and validation activities for equipment and instrumentation in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements to ensure accuracy and reliability of critical process parameters.

  • Continuous Improvement, Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, calibration records, and maintenance reports, to ensure compliance with regulatory documentation requirements and facilitate traceability (systems include CMMS, SAP, etc.). Identify opportunities proposed solutions for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost savings in maintenance activities.

    Who you are:

  • Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and control systems and equipment either acquired by an Associates’ degree or 4-5 years of related industry experience

  • Excellent organization and communication skills, and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with knowledge of equipment maintenance practices and techniques.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Knowledge of PLC, logical controls and associated programming software

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting programmable frequency drives (VFD) and their relationship to the process

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
