Arista Recovery Facilities Maintenance Technician in Paola, Kansas

SUMMARY:The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following: ongoing maintenance at assigned centers; reacting to emergency situations as they arise; completing preventive maintenance as directed by the immediate supervisor; and ensuring that centers are maintained in a safe, inviting condition. The Technician may be called upon to assist in inspections of renovations and new construction.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for preventive and reactive maintenance in multiple facilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures on all onsite equipment to include basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, plastic or sheet metal fabrication, welding, or associated work using hand and power tools
  • Troubleshoot equipment or facilities problems and report them to supervisor
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform routine inspections to determine repair and maintenance work, as necessary.
  • Physically complete repairs as needed and requested through work orders submitted by center staff
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to process, track, and status work orders
  • Proficient with basic computer systems (email, Microsoft Office applications)
  • Proficient with basic carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, plastic or sheet metal fabrication, or other associated work on plant facilities using hand and power tools.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform some travel (up to 10%)

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent High school diploma equivalent

  • Bending to lift items from the floor and racks required.
