Robert Half Legal is partnering with a high-end boutique law firm that specializes in business litigation, intellectual property, labor & employment, and tax law. They are seeking a litigation attorney to join their highly-tenured team!

· Low caseload: most attorneys manage 5-10 cases.

Responsibilities of Role:

o About 10 cases, mostly business litigation

o Discovery

o Trial prep (supporting senior attorney who goes to trial, not first chairing)

o Preparing for depositions (ideally take / defend too, but that’s not a must-have),

o Drafting from templates (in Westlaw) motions to compel, MSJs, demurrers. This is a law & motion focus job, at least to start.

^ Pay is contingent upon experience with these duties.

Details of Role:

· Hours: Roughly 8am to 5pm

· Hybrid Schedule: 3 days on site in Newport Beach, 2 from home. More on site at the beginning to get to know the team and cases, if possible.

Requirements

1. 3+ years of civil litigation experience, ideally in biz lit (shareholder, breach of contract, general business disputes). Practice areas like personal injury are not relevant.

2. Depositions are strong a nice-to-have

3. Ability to commute to Newport Beach 3x/week.
