First-Citizens Bank & Trust Company Commercial Credit Administration Associate II in New York, New York

Overview

The Credit Enablement Associate II is a member of a dynamic team empowering FCB's credit functions across multiple verticals. They will be experts in the Bank's credit policies as well as the various underwriting and portfolio management systems (i.e. nCino). This role will be responsible for answering questions on credit policy, lines of defense, and how to use the systems, especially entering complex deal structures or work arounds. They will also be a System Administrator for the nCino system with the ability to make data updates as needed and reviewing monitoring and control reports.


Responsibilities
  • User Support/Engagement - Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the various underwriting and portfolio management systems (i.e. nCino) and FCB's configuration in order to answer user questions including error messages, complex deal entry, system work arounds, and building reports and dashboards. Communicate regularly with users via multiple channels, including educating them on credit policy and business processes as well as answering questions on credit policy including risk rating, lines of defense, policy exceptions, and exposure calculations. Execute appropriate escalations and make enhancement requests based on user issues without explicit user direction.
  • Access & Approval Controls - In conjunction with the Control Room, ongoing provisioning of access to confidential deals in nCino as well as reporting of users that have access to that team for monitoring. Execution of various delegated authority controls including review of user approval levels provisioned in systems, review of approvals done outside of the delegated credit authority matrix to ensure they were withing an approved permitted variance, and review of approvals that should have been escalated to a next level approver.
  • Cross Department Collaboration - Collaborate with groups across multiple departments when necessary, including credit policy leaders and the Lending Solutions teams to support all lines of defense in using the systems as well as working through enhancements to the systems and/or policies and procedures.
  • Credit Data & Reporting - Monitor reports and support data cleanup for system accuracy related to SOX, CECL, and other risk and regulatory controls. When necessary, as a System Administrator in nCino, make data changes to the system as part of that support.
  • Credit Administration Other Duties - Where needed, contribute to adjacent and non-adjacent credit projects and initiatives within Credit Administration.
  • Project Management - Manages one or more projects; plans, prioritizes, organizes and aligns human, financial, material and information resources to meet organizational goals; focuses attention and efforts on critical priorities; effectively creates and executes against project timelines based on priorities, resource availability and other project requirements; evaluates planned approaches, determines feasibility and makes adjustments when needed; deploys or allocates the Bank's rexources when, where and how they are needed.
  • Management Skills - Understands, develops and deploys people and their skills to accomplish a goal, project or objective.

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $86,925.00 to $150,670.00 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications
    Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Ability to communicate effectively to business and technical audiences. A self motivated work ethic that includes the ability to think critically and leverage provided materials (job aids, procedures, policies, etc.) to find answers to questions. OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Ability to communicate effectively to business and technical audiences.     Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree
    Preferred Area of Study: Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Services
    Preferred Area of Experience: Knowledge of commercial underwriting and credit analysis, including banking regulations and lines of defense and risk controls. Knowledge of Salesforce, ideally nCino and FCBs configuration of the platform.
    License or Certification Type: Salesforce Certification(s) Preferred
    Skill(s): Detailed Oriented, Sense of Urgency, Teamwork
