Robert Half Operations Coordinator in Nashville, Tennessee
Description Robert Half might choose you as the new Logistics Coordinator for their client in the Wholesale Distribution industry. It is important for the chosen Logistics Clerk candidate to understand how to work with clients coordinating shipments. This position is also responsible for performing a heavy amount of data entry and utilizing customer service skills. If you can take responsibility for the processing of customer orders, including coordination with vendors and arranging shipments as the Logistics Clerk, you will have an edge over the competition. What you get to do every single day
Watch, monitor, and sustain dispatch & progress of orders on time and to meet delivery requirements
Perform various administrative duties
Transmit and synchronize with inventory and sales management; warehouse; logistics for service changes
Authorize freight bills and process bills of lading
Follow guidelines for approving carriers
Follow-up with carriers, as necessary Requirements - Microsoft Excel experience preferred
Earlier work involving Resolve Issues
Enterprise resource planning experience highly preferred
Comprehension of Transportation Services
Hands-on experience with A Plus
Distribution Centers experience desired
Strong familiarity with QA Management
Customer service experience
Good understanding of supply chain management
Previous experience working with authorizations
Prior experience with Internal Departments
Experience with Safety Guidelines
Knowledge of communication
Operations experience highly desired
Background working with Regulation
Foundational knowledge in Business administration
General familiarity with Microsoft Word
Demonstrated knowledge of Materials Handling
Knowledge of Operational Tasks
Strong familiarity with documentation
Practical knowledge of Review
Safety Standards experience preferred
Supply Chain Logistics experience highly valued
Adeptness in procedures
Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
2+ years' experience with shipping/logistics
Skills that allow for the completion of general office work, the operation of basic office equipment, and the routing of incoming materials to the proper individuals
Customer service oriented communication skills
