The perfect candidate for this *Welder *opening will have experience Welding and be comfortable performing general laborer/mechanical job responsibilities daily.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of gearboxes for the commuter rail vehicle industry.
• Disassemble gearboxes to identify the components and create a Bill of Materials.
• Perform the reassembly of gearboxes once the material arrives, ensuring that all irregularities and concerns are communicated to the Gearbox Shop Supervisor.
• Identifying defective parts that need to be removed and doing so on an as needed basis.
• Maintains continuity among the Gearbox Shop by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Prior work experience as a Welder is required.
• Previous experience working in a general mechanical role is required.
• Relevant education such as diploma/certificate will be preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
