Porzio Bromberg Payroll Administrator in Morristown, New Jersey

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C. (“Porzio”) is a highly respected, well-established and expanding law firm with two subsidiary companies and offices in NJ, NY, MA, DE and PA. Porzio is looking for a efficient and experienced individual to assume the role of payroll administrator. This position is responsible for all payroll processes for Porzio, as well as our subsidiaries. The payroll administrator's duties include overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, as well as ensuring accuracy and timely payments to employees at Porzio. You will resolve payroll discrepancies and provide exceptional service to our employees. To be successful, you must have strong numeric skills and be able to multitask effectively. Payroll Administrator Responsibilities:•Oversee end-to-end payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN), including salary calculations and deductions. •Conducting regular payroll audits and ensuring compliance with state laws, tax regulations and statutory requirements.•Monitor and resolve payroll discrepancies, investigating and resolving issues promptly and accurately.•Address employee inquiries and concerns relating to payroll, providing exceptional customer service and support.•Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.•Maintaining accurate employee records, including attendance, leaves of absence and personal information.•Collaborating with both personnel services and financial services departments to integrate payroll and employee data.•Process new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers and other employee status changes into ADP WFN to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.•Work with HR/Benefits Manager to ensure accuracy of employees' benefit deductions.•Monitor 401K/Roth deductions against current IRS contribution and compensation limits.•Calculate continuation pay for eligible employees on leaves of absence, and ensure accuracy of this data in payroll.•Run periodic reports for financial services department to be used for yearly budgeting, profit sharing contributions, etc. •Oversee annual 401K Non-discrimination Testing with Vanguard by submitting all necessary data and responding to follow up inquiries. •Oversee all aspects of annual 401K audit with the firm’s auditors. •Submit monthly report to the USDOL with payroll statistics.•Assist with recruitment, including posting job vacancies on ADP, LinkedIn, and other job sites.•Work with Vanguard and OneDigital to answer employees questions regarding 401K/Roth Plan options.•Coordinate annual New Jersey attorney registration for the firm.•Coordinate agendas for monthly meetings and distribute meeting materials to committee members in a timely manner.•Assist Personnel Services department with administrative functions.Payroll Administrator Requirements:•Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or human resources preferred.•3+ years of experience processing payroll.•Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now.•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.•Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing complex payroll calculations.•Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.•Good organizational and time management skills to meet strict payroll deadlines and manage multiple priorities.•High level of integrity to handle sensitive and confidential information.We are an equal opportunity employer, Women and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
