Overview

The Director of Corporate Security will be responsible for all aspects of security as applicable to protect the employees, assets, facilities and the brand of Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits. The Director of Corporate Security will be the single path of communication between SGWS leadership and the operational security teams throughout the country, as well as the Corporate Security Team. The Director of Corporate Security is responsible for advising SGWS leadership on risks, trends and security related events affecting the company and providing best practices, solutions, and cost analysis for mitigation techniques to address or prevent undesirable outcomes. The Director of Corporate Security must ensure consistency regarding security technology, procedures, policies, and deployments to provide an overarching strategy that meets the mission requirements of SGWS, currently and in the future. The Director of Corporate Security must maintain a synergy between the Corporate Security Teams and the operational security teams nationally. The Director of Corporate Security will oversee the SGWS Joint Response Operations Center to ensure quick and efficient response and communications to all stakeholders. The Director of Corporate Security must communicate and maintain effective relationships with ETP, HR, Legal, SCM Divisions, and Operational Leadership, both Corporate and Regional. · Must work from the SGWS Corporate Campus in Miramar, FL.

Primary Responsibilities

Coordinates and approves all aspects of executing security contracts at all locations.

· Develop security education programs to raise employee awareness and reduce risk.

· Develop and implement technical security solutions for facilities.

· Develop and implement a corporate security strategy for all divisions to execute.

· Develop and implement facility security guidelines and best practices.

· Promote a culture that embraces a positive workplace environment and works with staff to create and maintain an environment reflective of those values.

· Develop and implement strategic and operational plans to achieve our short- and long-term security objectives and effectively communicate those objectives to leadership and employees.

· Implement and maintain all security related policies and procedures and ensure they are effective and executed.

· Conduct risk assessments for all locations and provide recommendations for risk mitigation, maintenance or updates as appropriate.

· Partner with leadership to preserve crisis communication protocols and emergency response plans current.

Additional Primary Responsibilities

· Respond to crises and high duress events to mitigate, aid and assist in recovery.

· Manage relationships and contracts with 3rd party security teams.

· Responsible for reduction of shrinkage and asset management.

· Conduct internal and external investigations as appropriate for theft or unethical behavior.

· Stay informed and aware of trends in security technology; evaluate products and make recommendations to implement when appropriate.

· Ensure security trainings and drills at executed at all locations.

· Initiate and maintain relationships with local and federal law enforcement and emergency response entities throughout the service area.

· Manage and negotiate security contract terms, MSA’s and oversight of renewals.

· Review all security building upgrades, moves, construction projects, and maintenance initiatives.

· Create annual work plan and budget through financial and workflow metrics utilizing outsourced and staff resources to execute on a timely and cost-efficient strategy.

· Manage the Joint Response Operations Center and its personnel.

· Manage the strengths and weaknesses of operational security teams to continue individual development.

· Manage and direct the Corporate Security Team.

· Advise and communicate to SGWS leadership regarding all aspects of security.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree or higher

· 10+ years of experience in Law Enforcement, Military or Loss Prevention

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills

· Demonstrated experience managing security integrators and project management of security installations and upgrades

· Demonstrated experience managing personnel both locally and remote.

Preferred Qualifications

· Strong communication skills – written, verbal, persuasion, motivation, facilitation of strong working relationships.

· Knowledge of other MS Office Suite and/or software applications related to job functions.

· Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management, presentation development, presentation, and communications skills.

· Highly proficient in the use of video surveillance equipment/systems, including user knowledge, set-up, system capabilities, computer/printing interface, etc.

· Demonstrated experience managing security integrators and project management of security installations and upgrades.

· Thorough understanding of enterprise security concepts, practices, and procedures.

· Demonstrated experience in conducting criminal investigations, both internal and external.

· Highly proficient in all aspects of security technology.

· Strong understanding of IT wired and wireless networking protocols and best practices.

Physical Demands

· Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine.

· Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.

· May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs.
