Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quick Lane Technician to join our team at Johnson Dodge. As a Quick Lane Technician, you will play a crucial role in performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models. From oil changes and tire rotations to brake inspections and fluid checks, you will deliver efficient and reliable service to our customers while upholding our commitment to excellence in automotive care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements, according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct multi-point inspections to identify any potential issues or safety concerns and recommend necessary repairs or services.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues, such as brake squeaks, fluid leaks, and battery problems, and perform repairs as needed.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to ensure accurate and efficient diagnosis and repair of vehicle systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment, including proper disposal of used materials and hazardous waste.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to explain recommended services, estimate repair costs, and provide status updates on vehicle repairs.
  • Adhere to dealership and manufacturer policies and procedures, including safety regulations and warranty guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic preferred, with a focus on quick service or express maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair minor vehicle issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and tools, including computerized diagnostic systems and electronic service manuals.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
