Key Responsibilities:

• Operate handheld grinders to safely remove excess metal from inside and outside castings.
• Verify fit accuracy by correctly using gaging with different thickness feeler gages.
• Utilize hoist to manipulate castings to the proper position for fitting/gaging.
• Keeping track of the part Identification
• Keep work station in good order for the next shift/operator
• Occasionally the Fitter will move by hand gaging weighing up to 50 pounds.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
• High School Diploma
• 2+ years experience with Grinders/ Hand toolsExperience 

Environment/Physical Requirements:

This position is carried out in a weld shop environment and as such has the following physical work requirements:

• Must be able to lift 100lbs
