Description:

This person will be supporting the Applications Engineering group which functions as their Research & Development team. The position will be required to do a lot of front end development where they will be testing materials and how they react while interacting with the laser. They would be responsible for coming up with capabilities, processing speeds, quality of laser processing, and specific system configuration required for production application for any specific or perspective client. They would also process sample parts for prospective or current customers and document results in an report that is presented to the customer.

Once the process has been verified to the customers specifications, this person would then be responsible for demonstrating that process to the clients and their team of engineers.

There will be travel involved both domestically and internationally, working with engineering teams at clients like Boeing, AIRBUS, Pratt & Whitney, and Department of Defense.

1 year of internship experience working with lasers for drilling, cutting, or welding
