Job Summary

Supervises the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the liquefication and vaporization processes. Monitors LNG plant components; recommends and purchases materials needed for operations and maintenance and directs repairs when needed. Plans, coordinates, and supervises plant preventative maintenance. Performs long-term planning and oversees repairs and improvements at the facility. Generates, tests, and periodically reviews standard operating procedures for plant process and equipment. Assesses and monitors staffing levels; performs interviews, hiring, promotions, terminations, employee evaluations and performance ratings. Coordinates and monitors the effective training of all personnel. Ensures compliance with state, federal and local regulations. Coordinates with measurement and gas control personnel to ensure reliable gas send-out. Maintains accurate records through electronic data systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of directly related experience OR

Associate's degree with 7+ years of directly related experience OR

High school diploma or GED with 9+ years of directly related experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of gas plant operations, including cryogenics, compression, pressure control, combustion, liquids storage and handling and human machine interfaces.

Knowledge of natural gas pipeline regulations and procedures.

Knowledge and experience in compliance systems, computer applications, federal codes and regulations, standard operating procedures and safety and environmental initiatives.

Ability to communicate standards.

Knowledge of properties of natural gas.

Demonstrated ability to lead and coach staff.

Ability to make critical decisions independently and under pressure.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational and planning skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills in working with a diverse work force.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

  • Bachelor

  • Preferred Discipline(s): Engineering, Engineering Chemistry, Engineering/Electrical, Engineering/Mechanical

  • Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
