Eaton Corporation Production Coordinator - 2nd Shift in Lincoln, Illinois

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Production Coordinator - 2nd Shift. This role is located out of Lincoln, IL. Relocation assistance will be provided.

The Production Coordinator directs and manages production activities involved in the assembly of final products. You will maintain production schedules at the most economical cost, keeping quality at a high standard.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $78,000 - $117,700 a year.

What you’ll do:

  • Plans and organizes material flow through processes for effective and efficient utilization of machinery and employees.

  • Works with department personnel to maintain production levels to meet customer demand in the most cost-effective way, while maintaining the highest quality.

  • Assists in the selection, training and development of production personnel and participates in their performance evaluation and development. Addresses areas of concern with employees to promote excellent performance.

  • Completes all daily reports, for payroll and production reporting purposes. Monitors inventory and scrap in the department.

  • Maintains safe working conditions and assures that all safety rules and OSHA regulations are enforced.

  • Maintains good housekeeping and keeps all equipment in good operating condition.

  • Keeps all activities within company policies and in line with union contract.

  • Maintains good employee relations through effective communication efforts.

  • Keeps manufacturing manager informed on all department activities.

  • Works with employees, employee teams and co-workers on all process improvement, safety improvement and cost reduction projects to improve effectiveness, process and job knowledge.

  • Supports plant initiatives for continuous improvement such as Lean Manufacturing.

  • Maintains departmental budgets.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • One year (1) prior experience in a supervisory role

  • Company sponsorship is not being offered. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing experience

Skills:

  • Responsibilities include conformance to Environmental Management System requirements.

  • Working knowledge of corporate, division and plant policies and procedures.

  • Good communication skills to deal with employees and employee matters.

  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements for the facility
