Job Functions
Responsible for the management of a multi-person project development team. The candidate will direct a team of engineers in development of state of the art medical devices. The candidate shall make suggestions and recommendations regarding their team and resolving any interpersonal challenges that may arise. The candidate is the direct interface with the customer and must ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The candidate is in charge of the budget associated with the project and assumes full responsibility of managing any scope changes.
Job Description
Managing multiple projects in all phases of developing starting in planning and ending in design transfer back to the client
Creating, managing, and tracking all project related materials including but not limited to schedules, cost estimates, status reports, and change orders
Manage the day-to-day activities associated with their projects
Be a decision maker in terms of risks and tradeoffs and communicating that information to the client
Apply system techniques and procedures throughout the project management lifecycle
Provide ongoing status of the project to both the client and the Sterling Medical Devices management team
Make recommendations with regard to hiring, firing, and advancement /promotion of employees included on his/her project team(s)
Resolve any interpersonal changes with team members to ensure product development is proceeding along the proposed plan
Ensure compliance with relevant Medical Device standards throughout the development process.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field from an accredited school
At least three years’ experience in a Project Management Role
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Familiarity with and experience working under the following standards or similar: ISO 13485, FDA QSRs.
Compensation Depending On Experience. Medical And 401K Benefits Available
Job requires the ability to do light travel to customer sites (up to 10 days a year)
