Senior Buyer – Field and Logistics

What are we looking for?

Otis is currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer to join our highly successful purchasing team. The position will be a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be expected to work from our London Vantage office , our Leicester Grove Park office, at our approved suppliers offices located throughout the UK and also home working.

The successful candidate will be responsible for;

• Conducting supplier negotiations and awarding project works as applicable as required by the business.

• Sourcing new suppliers as applicable to support the Otis business in all areas: New Equipment, Modernisation and Repairs.

• Manage the whole tender process in compliance with company policies and conduct project tendering as required for our Field and Logistics categories.

• Negotiate strategic supply framework agreements and manage a number of key supply relationships continually looking to save costs, add value and streamline processes. Contribute to the Company’s Annual Cost Saving Plan.

• Conduct supply chain quality audits on our key suppliers, continually looking to make improvements.

To be considered for our Senior Buyer position, you must be able to demonstrate that you have:

• Strong Negotiation Skills and Supply Chain methodology.

• Excellent Communication at all levels.

• Confidence in meeting challenging performance targets

• A collaborative and supportive approach to the supply chain team to deliver individual commitments and results.

• Ability to work in an adaptable manner which ensures Supply Chain Management team success.

The core skills demanded of a Senior Buyer are;

• Strong negotiation and Supply Chain methodology.

• Effective stakeholder engagement

• Ability to re-evaluate moving priorities in line with changing business needs.

• A strong and supportive team player

• Ability to maintain common goals and ensure that internal and external resources are deployed to the best effect.
