Description:
Summary:
Responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy aquatic environment for all hotel guests and team members. Leading assigned team members in the successful completion of daily tasks, projects, training and safety. Oversee daily operations of the Lifeguards in the absence of Security Management. Perform Lifeguard duties when necessary. Provide excellent guest service and handle any emergencies appropriately. Responsible for hiring, training, and managing all lifeguards and pool attendants.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Assist with training and developing department staff as assigned to include new lifeguards three day course requirement
Assists Security with instructing Red Cross CPR and Basic First Aid for all Officers
Develop and update a policy and procedure manual for all pool operations
Maintain pool safety checks
Provide direction to pool team members completing projects as assigned
Act as a liaison, as necessary, between line staff and departmental leadership to ensure leadership is aware of any challenges with job performance, staffing levels, and/or job tasks
Always provide outstanding guest service
Maintain supervision of the pool area, ensuring the safety of the pool area and guests
Appropriately address any issues, concerns, or guest violations
Recognize and respond effectively to all emergencies
Enforce all facility rules and regulations
Appropriately address any unsafe conditions
Maintain a clean and attractive pool environment
Conduct monthly in service training, weekly schedules, address job performance issues through departmental discipline
Maintain training records and re-certification training
Process daily team member payroll
Run various reports
Maintain ordering and inventories of all supplies as needed
Assist when necessary with cabana rentals
Notify SNHD of any changes to policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
1 year previous experience in hotel resort pool environment preferred
Efficient using computers, including but not limited to Word and Excel.
Maintain training records and recertification training
Excellent guest service skills
Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions in emergency situations
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively one-on-one or in groups
At least 18 years of age
Lifeguarding Instructor certification preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Present a professional appearance
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States
Work Cards

CPR & First Aid certification
Physical Requirements
Frequently walk, stand or stoop
Ability to walk and/or run on slippery surfaces
Occasionally sitting at a desk or table
Bending, kneeling, climbing and using chemical agents
Regularly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 250 lbs.

Ability to tolerate moderate noise levels and extreme weather conditions
