The Role

Job Overview: Kyndryl is seeking a highly skilled and accomplished Topic Leader for our Offensive Security team, specializing in Malware, Command and Control (C2), and Red Teaming operations. As the Topic Leader, you will be the cornerstone for developing global best practices and innovative strategies in these critical domains. This role demands a strong foundation in both technical and leadership capabilities, aimed at significantly advancing Kyndryl's offensive capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, standardize, and maintain advanced Malware and C2 operations, alongside strategic Red Teaming exercises.

  • Identify and exploit new vulnerabilities using sophisticated malware and C2 tactics integrated with comprehensive red teaming approaches.

  • Lead in the representation of Kyndryl at global security conferences, showcasing leading-edge research and security strategies.

  • Create and deliver specialized training for the Offensive Security team, focusing on the development and execution of realistic cyber-attack simulations.

  • Design and implement custom, undetectable malware and develop proprietary C2 frameworks tailored for advanced red teaming scenarios.

  • Serve as the primary expert consultant on complex offensive security issues within the organization.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (preferred).

  • Must have cybersecurity certifications: CISSP, OSCP, OSEP, OSED; OSCE3 highly preferred.

  • Demonstrable experience in developing stealthy malware and effective C2 systems, with a strong focus on evasion and persistence mechanisms.

  • Proficient in programming languages essential for malware development and security tools, including but not limited to Go, Rust, C, C#, C++, Assembly, and PowerShell.

  • Proven leadership in guiding a global team of security experts in a collaborative and educative environment.

  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with experience at major industry conferences.

Preferred Skills:

  • Deep understanding of the latest techniques in malware obfuscation, cryptographic protocols, network security, and systems vulnerabilities.

  • Expertise in various penetration testing and ethical hacking tools.

  • Innovative problem-solving skills, with the ability to generate unique solutions for security challenges.
