Job Title: Sales Internship

Job Summary: EMCOR Service Fagan has an opportunity for a Sales Internship at our Kansas City, KS headquarters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties include the distribution and maintenance of the flow of sales documents, records, files, reports, and other information applicable to multiple projects. This includes the proper controls of such information within the company and external to the company. These duties incorporate the adherence to standard EMCOR Services Fagan forms and procedures, as well as the other duties that may be assigned. At times, the specific daily tasks may vary by project type, project requirements, and project schedule.

Intern(s) will learn the basics of sales processes and perform outbound sales activities like call/email marketing, event marketing, walk in’s and follow up on existing opportunities. They will learn how to put together Service Contracts for Mechanical Equipment as well as Quote Repair and Service work.

  • Currently enrolled in a Business or Engineering degree program

  • Express interest in both inside and outside sales activities

  • Assist in qualifying sales calls, preparing proposals and quotations, negotiations, and managing sales-cycle to close sales.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Computer literate and comfortable with spreadsheets

  • Prioritize in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment

  • Perform basic business mathematical functions

  • Work with minimal supervision

  • Effectively manage time and details.

  • Interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Must have organizational skills in handling & archiving technical data.

  • Comply with all operating policies, procedures, plans, and programs

  • Must be dependable and punctual

  • Kansas City Metro Area or surrounding area resident necessary
