JOB DESCRIPTION:

Install Technician (Commercial Buildings)

Duration: 6+ months contract to hire

Location: Projects within the Kansas City metro area

Interview: 1-2 Step Video interview

Rate: Depending on years of experience/skillset level 25-33/hour

Schedule: M-F, 8-5pm

Valid Driver's License: You will drive your own vehicle until converted FTE, then you get a truck and gas card!

Top skills:

• 3-8+ years of field experience installing commercial access control equipment such as card readers , electrified door hardware, controller boards, electric strike, mag locks etc. and experience with software(s) such as AMAG / Lenel / Genetec / Software House – CCURE / S2

• Commercial experience includes warehouses, hospitals, stadiums, shopping centers (target, walmarts)

• 3-8+ years of field experience installing commercial CCTV cameras, such as Axis, Milestone, Avigilon, Hanwha, etc.

• Certifications not required

• Wiring and running, installing and terminating cable

Job Duties:

• Travel to the job site and work with a team to Install, program, test, repair, and service a variety of non-routine systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety. You will be a key interface for the provision of technical support and training for the customer and as such are accountable for maximizing customer satisfaction.

• Install a variety of CCTV Cameras and Access Control Equipment

• Completes accurate and detailed service reports for customers and Convergint promptly to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.

• Solid technical skills and experience fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems.

• Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions

• To be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision.

• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).

• Ability to travel locally to job sites on a regular basis and climb ladders (30 Feet) and install security cameras
