Assistant Supervisor Production-1st shift

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Assistant Supervisor Production - 1st Shift (6 AM - 2:20 PM), are to:

  • Ensure safety, quality, productivity and delivery standards are met while supporting the Supervisor in direct supervision of up to 120 employees in the plant across multi-disciplines including Manufacturing Personnel, Manufacturing Supervisors, Maintenance Technicians, Sterilization Technicians, and Warehouse Personnel;

  • Establish, implement and support systems that create and maintain standard operating procedures for production operations;

  • Maintain working knowledge of all Manufacturing processes and equipment, and maintain knowledge of manufacturing developments and best practices;

  • Instill lean manufacturing culture and drive lean process improvements within the manufacturing areas which will improve quality and productivity and reduce operating costs over time;

  • Be responsible for training, setting daily work schedules, and providing guidance. Includes counseling on performance feedback and initiating and assisting with corrective action;

  • Be responsible for compliance to BAYER’s Quality System and Quality System Regulations/ISO standards within Sterile Disposables Manufacturing areas;

  • Establish relationships across functional areas and formal communication methods in order to ensure improvement needs are prioritized and addressed in a timely manner;

  • Create an environment which recognizes and supports continuous improvement;

  • Prepare timely reports for distribution to internal customers and maintain accurate records and files;

  • Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, production scheduling, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays;

  • Treat internal customers with respect, keep commitments, inspire the trust of others, work with integrity and ethically and uphold organizational values;

  • Ensure all Bayer HR policies and procedures are followed and completed on a timely basis.

Who you are

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or equivalent;

  • One year of manufacturing processes or supply chain principals experience;

  • One year of leadership experience;

  • Excellent presentation, training, and interpersonal skills;

  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities;

  • Strong MS Office application knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree;

  • Three years of overall experience;

  • Environmental, Health and Safety experience;

  • QSR/ISO Experience.
