Here, you will make an impact by:Working with site/organization leadership team to determine approach and strategy for achieving operational and financial objectives.Proactively identifies, helps prioritize, manages, executes, and guides implementation of approved projects and front-line problem solving to achieve CI objectives, Project savings and actual vs baseline COGS, Cash and Growth improvements.Collaborating with front-line employees, support teams, department/function, supervisors/managers, and operations leaders to determine goals, direction, and approaches that encourage everyday problem solving and continuous improvement.Teaching, mentoring, and developing others (e.g. peers, supervisors, managers) in their ability to establish Continuous Improvement as a primary mechanism to improving operational performance (e.g. improving machine productivity, labor productivity, capacity, yield, inventory, OEE, backlog, lead time/turnaround, etc.) in their work centers, departments, and areas.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.Six (6) combined years of continuous improvement experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, logistics/distribution, transactional/office settings and/or continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, 3MEx, etc.).Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:In-depth understanding of how to approach improving site/function level metrics such as revenue/TVOS, manufacturing expenses, margin, backlog, turnaround time, labor productivity, machine productivity, inventory, lead time, capacity, etc.Experience with an array of improvement approaches:Capable of executing/ leading Continuous Improvement projects and Kaizen EventsDaily Management ImprovementsDevelopment/refinement of Tier boards, Tier meetings for the purpose of employee engagement and continuous improvement.Understands connection(s) between tools, projects, daily management, and subsequent impact on operational and financial metrics.Effective facilitation, communication, and teaching/coaching skillsWork location: On-site at Hutchinson, MNTravel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
