We are looking for a3rd Shift Superintendent of Operationsto join our Operations team. You will serve as the primary supervisor for all facility-wide activities as well as primary administrative responsibilities on a given shift. This position is the highest acting authority on site during off hours.Primary area of focus is to ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product quality levels and a safe working environment.

What youll do:

  • Assure proper and efficient use of staff and equipment to meet production needs on assigned shifts while maintaining cost and overtime to a minimum
  • Ensures that all product is produced conforms to product specifications
  • Assists in maintaining, creating, and enforcing accurate policies and procedures across entire facility
  • Foster a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing all safety policies and regulations
  • Accommodates training of assigned shift employees to ensure their knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures relating to the safety, quality, and productivity for their assigned areas
  • Analyzes area operations and recommends measures for continuous improvement. Also supports and promotes employee involvement in continuous improvement programs
  • Provides leadership and direction via good communication skills
  • Ensures employees are always treated and addressed in a professional manner
  • Works with the Production Manager, Plant Manager, and Quality Supervisor to improve production efficiency and product quality

What youll bring:

  • BA or BS degree in Business, Food Safety or an Engineering discipline preferred but not required.
  • Experience in the food industry preferred but not required.
  • A minimum offive (5) years experience in production managementin positions of increasing importance with a demonstrated ability to handle jobs of increasing complexity
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both production staff and management
  • Possesses a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and systems
  • Excellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, and interpersonal skills
  • Requirement to work 3rd Shift
