Expeditors Domestic Transportation Coordinator in Hazelwood, Missouri

Position Overview:

As a Domestic Transportation Coordinator you will be supporting the management of (Road Freight), you will be responsible to ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing an exceptional customer service.

You should also be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements as well as be involved and suggest system/process improvements

 

Major Tasks & Responsibilities:

Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow

Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system

Track and Trace shipment files and reporting

Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing

Ensure delivery of freight and timely clearance when applicable

Interact with customers in arranging their shipments to meet customers service standards

Contribute and maintain good relationships with suppliers

Meet compliance at all times

Network communications, timely responses to emails and requests

Meet KPI standards in accordance with Company policy

Understand customers procedures and maintain updated internal DLSOPs

 

The ideal candidate has an operational background. Experience in both International and Domestic Transportation is desired, but not required. A demonstrated ability to self-manage and motivate is critical. You must have excellent communication skills (both written and oral), have a professional attitude and be able to accept and exemplify Expeditors' unique culture.

Good computer skills is expected (Excel, Word).

Hazardous Materials certification and knowledge is a plus but not required.

6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must be willing to perform warehouse responsibilities such as driving forklift and lifting boxes more than 30 lbs.
