DESCRIPTION OF WORK This intern position will provide you with career-applicable experience in environmental education and interpretation-related aspects of Pennsylvania State Park operations. You will shadow and assist staff in various areas of bureau environmental education and interpretation programming to include lesson plan development, delivery of education programs, and educational program support. In addition you will also assist with interpretive planning and projects to gain knowledge in those areas and to take responsibility for the completion of assigned project tasks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: Interns will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time on a schedule that aligns with their supervisor so they are in the office on the same days.  No full time telework will be approved.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you must report to the office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following majors: History American Studies Environmental Science An approved major course of study at an accredited college or university may be acceptable. Freshman year completed Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher) Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

Additional Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
