DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Investment Office Intern, you will work directly with the PSERS Investment Office (IO) staff across Traditional, Non-Traditional, Risk, and Operations roles to review portfolio performance, support investment recommendations, understand and adjust risk monitoring, and oversee the operations of a large and complex pension fund. Each intern will be assigned a supervisor within one of the departments outlined above who will lead their daily work schedule, while also benefiting from specific programming providing a broader overview of the overall pension fund. You will have the opportunity to: Maintain portfolio-related databases and streamline market data accessibility. Collect and aggregate market commentary and data to assist in the development of investment themes and use within internal presentations. Review annual and quarterly financial reports and summarize findings. Collaborate across the Traditional, Non-Traditional, Risk, and Operations group to benefit efficient, effective functioning of the PSERS IO. Take organized, detailed meeting notes, and create executive summaries. Assist in managing pipeline of prospective investments. Assist with investment and manager due diligence, including managing deliverable timelines. Prepare information in advance of meetings including, investment and manager tear sheets, performance analysis, and summary of prior meetings. Schedule phone calls and video conferences for manager introductions and monitoring meetings. Work on special projects as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Temporary, Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: The internship will follow PSERS teleworking policy, which is expected to include in person training at PSERS Harrisburg, PA headquarters, require Pennsylvania residency during the internship, and otherwise accommodate remote work as agreed with the intern's manager Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Fulltime student (12 credits for undergraduates and 9 credits for graduate students). Enrollment in a post-secondary education program for the next semester. Be in good academic standing and be at least eighteen years of age. Possess computer proficiency, customer service, and professional skills. Must be able to remain employed through the end of the pay period in which you graduate. Experience using office equipment su h as printers, copiers, and scanners. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite. Able to work in and commute to the work address in Dauphin County. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
