Berry Street | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | Pay Rate: | $14.00 - $16.00 per hour | +-----------------------------------+-----------------------------------+ | Job Description: | SUMMARY | | | | | | Working under the direction of | | | the Lifetime Sports Academy | | | Director, incumbent creates and | | | maintains a fun, safe, and | | | learning environment for the | | | participants of the Lifetime | | | Sports Academy. The incumbent | | | will offer a variety of programs, | | | activities, and learning | | | experiences to academy | | | participants. The incumbent is | | | expected to exercise good | | | judgment, independence, | | | initiative, and professional | | | expertise in conducting | | | day-to-day operations. All work | | | duties and activities must be | | | performed in accordance with the | | | City safety rules and operating | | | regulations, policies and | | | procedures as well as federal, | | | state, and local regulations. | | | | | | ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND | | | RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the | | | ability to interact with the | | | public, City incumbents, and | | | outside agencies with patience, | | | tact, respect, and | | | professionalism and the | | | following. Other duties may be | | | assigned. | | | | | - Leads individual, small and | | | large group youth activities, | | | and sports programs; | | | - Assists instructors in formal | | | group lessons in tennis and | | | golf; | | | - Provides role models for | | | children; | | | - Registers children for the | | | program; | | | - Maintains program records and | | | reports as required; | | | - Monitors inventory control of | | | supplies and equipment; | | | - Opens and closes the | | | facilities; | | | - Operates the range picker as | | | directed; | | | - Handles discipline as needed. | | | | | | MARGINAL FUNCTIONS | | | | | | Performs other duties as | | | assigned. | | | | | | PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS | | | | | | The incumbent is responsible to | | | manage their performance in | | | accordance with this job | | | description and the performance | | | expectations provided to them by | | | management.
