Job Description:

As a Logistics Analyst, you will be a key member of our operations team, responsible for analyzing transportation data, optimizing logistics processes, and driving cost efficiencies. You will utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and SAP to gather and analyze data related to transportation activities, including cost per mile analysis, route optimization, and performance metrics. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in TMS and SAP, and the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis: Gather, analyze, and interpret transportation data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

2. Cost Analysis: Conduct cost per mile analysis and other cost-related evaluations to identify areas for cost reduction and optimization in transportation operations.

3. Route Optimization: Utilize TMS and SAP to optimize delivery routes, minimize empty miles, and reduce fuel consumption, while ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

4. Performance Metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportation operations, such as on-time delivery performance, carrier performance, and freight spend analysis.

5. Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in logistics processes and propose solutions to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.

6. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including transportation, operations, finance, and IT, to implement process improvements and ensure alignment with company objectives.

7. Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive reports and analysis to management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations for improvement.

8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to transportation operations and data management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• Proven experience in logistics analysis, preferably in the trucking or transportation industry.

• Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), SAP, and other relevant software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.

• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
