SAIC Principal Acquisition Specialist in EL SEGUNDO, California

Description

SAIC’s Horizon Program is seeking an experienced Principal Acquisition Specialist to support to the US Space Force (USSF) in developing, deploying, and sustaining the Geosynchronous Space Situational Awareness Program (GSSAP) within the Space Systems Command Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power Directorate's system program office located in El Segundo, CA .

The position requires you having an in-depth experience with DoD program acquisition processes and documentation. You will interact and coordinate daily with numerous stakeholders (Program Managers, Contracting Officers, System Engineers, and external organizations).

Fun stuff you will do on the job:

  • Provide expert advice to the Program Manager and Senior Space Force Leadership regarding acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and execution

  • Develop/coordinate acquisition planning briefings and documents (ESIS, ASP, ASD, J&A, etc.)

  • Develop/coordinate solicitation planning and execution documents (RFP (SOW, CDRLs, Incentive Plans, etc.), Source Selection Strategy, etc.)

  • Develop/coordinate overarching program planning and execution documents as prescribed by/tailored from DoDI 5000.02, and relevant DoD, AF, and SSC policies

  • Draft technical evaluations and function as an advisor in source selections

  • Provide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor designs and milestone reviews to assess progress, risks and issues, and the ability to achieve mission requirements

Qualifications

This is you:

  • Bachelors degree and minimum of 9 years of related experience (4 years of additional experience may be used in lieu of degree)

  • Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable)

  • Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination

  • Experience with Department of Defense Major Capability Acquisition System process

  • Experience with Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System process

  • Experience with Planning, Programing, Budget and Execution process

You will wow us even more if you have these skills:

  • Professional certification (e.g., PMI PMP)

  • Experience within the National Security Space domain

  • Experience working in development environment and, or U.S. Government weapons system program office

Target salary range: $150,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
