Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)
Implement with fidelity, all K-6 guidance curriculum
Work closely with staff to schedule the implementation of guidance curriculum K-6.
Work closely with staff to track behavior intervention data
Analyze intervention data and report trends to staff
Facilitate MTSS meetings of students with behavior concerns
SIT team leader/member for attendance, behavior, and academics
Work closely with the staff to determine effectiveness of intervention procedures and lead development of new policies/procedures
Analyze attendance/tardy trends and report them to staff
Work closely with the staff, students, and families to improve attendance and student tardiness
Make home visits as needed
Be an active member of the building CRVP team
Work closely with families, connecting them to needed community resources
Connect with homeless families ensuring they are receiving support
Respond and support families, staff, and students during times of crisis
Address bullying incidents proactively
Work with staff, students, and families to curb incidents of bullying
Analyze and report bullying data to staff
Conduct groups to address various student issues that help promote positive social and emotional development
Actively participate in all building initiatives
Supervise playground as needed to develop relationships and work with support staff
Assist with staff development, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Will provide interventions as needed.
Participate fully as a productive team member.
Demonstrate effective communication with students, parents, staff, and community members.
Willingness to participate in staff development, utilize collaborative teacher teams
Able to implement a variety of instructional strategies to meet the needs of a diverse learning community.
Ability to establish a positive learning environment.
Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.
Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.
Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.
Skilled, understands and utilizes MTSS or willingness to be trained/knowledgeable
Skilled, understands and utilizes PBIS or willingness to be trained/knowledgeable and co-lead the PBIS team
Assist and oversee the implementation of PBIS
Collaborate with Family Support Liaison, School-Based Therapist and community agencies to support students and families

Must be able to implement Crisis Prevention Intervention strategies, including appropriate physical restraint procedures and escorting.
