Micron Technology, Inc. Global Facilities Engineer / Senior Engineer - BIM in Clay, New York

  • Work with partners in the development of BIM Execution Plan and ensure Micron standards are incorporated.

  • Ensure BIM standards, process, etc, as defined in BIM Execution Plan are performed, maintained and updated throughout project lifecycle.

  • Manage and maintain model organization and folder structure within the Common Data Environment(CDE) as defined in BEP/Micron standards.

  • Supervise and assist with maintenance of project models; conduct quality control/health checks on federated models and associated trade models to ensure completeness, accuracy and alignment to the project’s BIM Execution Plan throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage and assist model setup and maintenance by partners.

  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings to assist coordination and resolution of model issues and clashes.

  • Prioritize coordination efforts base on construction plans and changed conditions.

  • Generate clash numbers to monitor clash resolution progress and clash reports.

  • Ensure contractors use coordinated BIM models to prepare work sequence with subcons.

  • Assist pre-construction teams with constructability reviews.

  • Facilitate contractors to arrange review sessions of the coordinated BIM models with Micron operations team for space management inputs.

  • Perform regular QA/QC field walks to ensure field installations match coordinated models.

  • Ensure shop drawings are done base on coordinated 3D models to minimize and avoid reworks.

  • Ensure partners applied BIM models for design change analysis and approval prior to shop drawing production and construction.

  • Assist in maintaining drawings done within Revit.

  • Assist with 3D scanning/reality capture initiatives.

  • Ensure models are updated to as-constructed and as-built conditions using 3D scans for accuracy.

  • Ensure data required for facility management are entered throughout construction.

  • Assist site personnel in navigating the models and retrieving data and information such as sections from the models.

  • Assist in providing existing information from BIM models for future expansion projects.

  • Point of contact for all BIM related matters for both internal and external partners.

  • Work with the project team with project workflow to establish and maintain consistent graphic standards on individual assigned projects. This includes the interdisciplinary consistency between mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, telecommunications, etc.

  • Ensure accuracy of as-constructed/as-built basebuild design for next in line users (eg, tool install team) to be able to start design work early without having to perform multiple field verifications.

  • Require to perform BIM modelling and data updates during operations in maintaining the digital twin accuracy to site conditions.

  • Perform periodic audits to maintain up-to-date information with the digital twin throughout the facility’s lifecycle.

  • Provide training to team members on the use of BIM platforms and software.

  • Site representative to support on global corporate assignments.

  • Travel may be required.

Job Requirements

  • Tertiary education in Engineering related to AEC industry (Architectural, Engineering, Construction).

  • Passion for BIM and Construction

  • Minimum 5 years BIM experience working in large scale manufacturing industry projects.

  • Semiconductor project experiences a plus.

  • Able to work independently.

  • Familiar with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.

  • Good understanding of BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Tekla, Archicad, Sketchup, etc.)

  • Knowledge of dynamo, python, C# a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and great teammate.

  • Enjoy travelling as international travel may be required.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$76,000.00 - $169,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
