Job Description:

Highly motivated, experienced relationship manager responsible for the management of retail vendor programs. Role will be dedicated to coverage of equipment dealers in the transportation, construction and material handling markets, including regular travel in the field to deepen relationships with F&I managers and other vendor contacts. Accountable for all aspects of the vendor relationship, including overall account strategy, transaction execution, capturing growth opportunities, and working with a cross-functional team to deliver industry-best service.

Target program size will be annual volume of $5 million and up, and transaction size of $250k and up.

This position is posted as an SVP, Sr Leasing Sales Specialist, but is flexible to be filled as a VP, Leasing Sales Specialist based on the skill set/experience of the candidate.

Required Skills: "Must" have these skills to be minimally qualified:

  • 5+ years of relationship management experience within the equipment finance or broader financial services industry. Preference for experience in retail vendor finance.

  • Expertise and experience in retail vendor finance, preferably with a large, regulated financial institution

  • Experience in the transportation, construction or material handling markets

  • Strong client management skills

  • Proven ability to work with vendors and their sales teams to drive higher financing penetration rates with end-user customers

  • In-depth knowledge of vendor program structure, design and documentation

  • Expertise in credit, legal/contracts, structuring, finance, accounting, pricing and documentation

  • In-depth industry and market knowledge including competitive environment, economic conditions, client behavior and market trends

  • Comprehensive understanding of the current regulatory environment, and ability to operate in a compliant manner

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office software applications

  • Degree preferred or relevant work experience

  • Travel 30% - 50%
