We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a EC Program Manager (Hybrid) on our Enterprise Communication team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.

As a EC Program Manager (Hybrid), you will be responsible for guiding and executing the Enterprise Social Responsibility (ESR) program and initiatives, based on best practices, industry standards, and alignment to AMA’s strategic mission and commitment to healthy, thriving, and equitable communities. Manage a portfolio of internal and external collaborations by building relationships with senior leadership, BU leaders, and external partners to expand AMA’s ESR strategic work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Program Management & Development

  • Support strategic development of the ESR program and alignment to enterprise equity goals. Drive program development and departmental processes, establishing effective timelines, documents and procedures for program and project management.

  • Develop ESR program assets. Responsible for researching and writing communications (i.e ESR quarterly updates, video production, and website development).

  • Manage, track, analyze, and report program metrics to ensure attainment of goals and management. Responsible for maintaining ESR roadmap.

  • Identify opportunities in our city and sectors that afford deeper engagement on issue areas for projects and volunteers.

    Internal and External Relationships

  • Develop and establish goals and objectives for internal ESR stakeholder workgroups. Manage workgroup meetings and lead trainings.

  • Research and identify potential external partners.

  • Support the management of relationships with partner organizations.

  • Plan and implement convenings and co-design sessions with ESR partners.

  • Serves as the AMA representative for West Side United (WSU) anchor partnership volunteer events.

  • Develop and implement high-quality volunteer programs, including program development, design, management, documentation, and evaluation.

    May include other responsibilities as assigned

    REQUIREMENTS:

    1. Bachelor’s Degree required; concentration in Communications, Civic Engagement or other related field preferred.

    2. Minimum 5+ years experience in program or project management; experience in social responsibility, civic engagement, and communications.

    3. Experience in building positive team collaborations and relationship building.

    4. Excellent cross-functional communications and interpersonal skills, consensus-building, and negotiation skills for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with all levels of management, and external stakeholders.

    5. Effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills; demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.

    6. Strong presentation and public speaking skills required, including experience in a large group setting.

    7. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from different disciplines, contribute as a team member, and be self-motivated and a strong individual contributor.

    8. Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of knowledge.

    9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    10. Occasional travel.
