Description:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for managing, directing and controlling maintenance operations for an RMX fleet plus rolling stock. Accountable for all maintenance activities including preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment repairs and installations to ensure maximum uptime and productivity. Responsible for optimizing maintenance costs

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Provides guidance, planning, administration and direction to maintenance employees and outside trade vendors.

  • Ensures that maintenance employees are appropriately trained, equipped and motivated so that maintenance programs can be accomplished in a safe, timely and cost effective manner. Actively supports region occupational health & safety and environmental programs.

  • Keeps close contact with distribution to ensure truck availability. Helps determine CAPEX when it comes to fleet maintenance (purchase of new trucks, loaders, drums, etc). Gets involved when vehicles have problems in job sites (get stuck, …)

  • Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM, compliance, schedule compliance, etc.

  • Assists with capital projects as needed.

  • Develops staffing plans for direct reports and establishes work plans/schedules for projects.

  • Prioritizes staff workloads in order to meet objectives and appropriately serve the business. Provides work direction and mentoring to direct reports.

  • Other duties as assigned as needed

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Education: Associate's degree or 3-5 years of equivalent experience years of equivalent experience.

Required Work Experience: 7-10 years of fleet maintenance and 5 years in a supervisory role

  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
