Overall Job Summary
The Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) Consultant for Store Operations is responsible for the management and supports the integration of DEI initiatives that align to Tractor Supply’s Mission and Values across all Stores and Petsense. This position works collaboratively with the Director of DEI, and partners with HR Leaders, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), the business leadership team, and other key stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)
Partner with HR Leaders, HRBPs, and Talent Leaders to develop the Store Operations DEI strategy that’s aligned with Tractor Supply’s DEI strategy and strategic pillars.
Develop Store Operations DEI goals & action plans that include DEI metrics related to attracting, developing, and retaining talent.
Evaluate and report on the progress/metrics of DEI program and share updates with key stakeholders.
Consult and provide guidance to HR leaders, HRBPs, and store leaders on increasing DEI/ESG goals related to Leadership representation and Team Member representation.
Design, develop, and execute DEI programs & initiatives for Store Operations.
Facilitate DEI programs, training workshops, and key events.
Serve as a Program Manager responsible for planning, coordinating, and communicating DEI programs, initiatives, and projects.
Partner with the team to extract Store Operations people data, analytics, and insights.
Ensure priorities are moving forward effectively and efficiently across all stores that are critical to advancing successful DEI efforts.
Create and share DEI store-related communications to promote DEI programs and initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5 – 7 years of professional experience in a large-scale organization including DEI-related experience designing, developing, and executing programs. Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in organizational development, human resources or other business-related coursework required. In lieu Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities
Strong interpersonal/collaboration skills
Highly skilled facilitator capable of facilitating DEI related training in multiple settings (i.e., classroom, conference call, web conference, etc.)
Strong communication skills, including the ability to speak effectively to large groups and present to key leadership teams
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (inclusive of PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) or related software
Experience using virtual meeting and communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc. and an aptitude to work with new technology or systems.
Strong project and program management skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects on tight deadlines.
Ability to handle confidential and highly sensitive information discreetly
High degree of emotional intelligence
