Microsoft Corporation Principal Product Manager-Lead in Bangalore, India

Overview We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our team. Microsoft Purview Data Security, Governance and Compliance team is looking for an experienced, energetic and hands on Product Management leader to drive product strategy for its data connector and scanning platform. Our team charter is to provide the foundation to enable consistent delivery of security, governance and compliance features across all Microsoft and 3rd party environments.

We are looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to build an amazing PM team and drive product innovation in one of our most critical customer-facing solution areas. This role will involve working with multiple engineering teams to have a deeper understanding of their unique technical architecture and to create and deliver on roadmap for a modern, efficient connector and scanning platform.

Responsibilities

  • Driving product strategy, design, and coordination for a highly scalable, data connector and scanning infrastructure

  • Defining and measuring KPI’s/OKR’s for their feature areas and ensure the product roadmap accrues to measurable success.

  • Driving partnerships between teams to understand their scenarios and translating them to requirements for products

  • Fostering a working relationship with development, design, content, marketing, and business development

  • Embracing an adaptable and flexible organizational culture and thrive in our fast paced and evolving industry/technology

  • Providing strategic guidance to teams to define the long-term vision and strategy for the feature(s)/feature area

  • Finding solutions to hard problems at massive scale and operationalizing them Other Embody our Culture and Values

Qualifications

  • 11+ years of experience designing or developing product / services, preferably in the security and/or compliance space

  • Deep sense of customer/user empathy

  • Highly skilled at cross-org collaboration & effective communication across disciplines/groups

  • Technical curiosity and aptitude to quickly master service capabilities, technical issues, business trends, and customer needs

  • Strong team leadership skills, project management skills and ability to lead multiple high-profile projects of varying timelines simultaneously 

  • Bachelor’s + degree in computer science or related fields

Added advantage: Previous work experience with security. compliance or risk product suites, creating product experiences for enterprise SaaS.
