Job Description

Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.

At Intel we are interested in finding efficient ways to use modern laptops for AI applications. We are investigating the power use of CPU, GPU, and NPU (Neural processing units). The candidate will build predictive models based on analysis of field data.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must be pursuing a Master's/PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Enginering, Electrical Engineering or related field and

6+ months experience in

  • Artificial Intelligence applications using frameworks such as PyTorch

  • Python programming experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Data mining/data analysis class

  • Machine learning experience

  • GPU programming experience (CUDA, SYCL, etc)

  • Familiarity with using Python to process large quantities of computer performance and power data.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $63,000.00-$166,000.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
