We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced data engineer to join our team and help us build and maintain our event-driven data pipelines on AWS. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS native event-driven services, such as Amazon EventBridge, AWS Lambda, and AWS Step Functions. They will also have experience with data engineering best practices, such as data modeling, data quality, and data security. In addition, an ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and maintain event-driven data pipelines on AWS

  • Work with stakeholders to understand and define data requirements

  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring

  • Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest AWS technologies

  • Develop and implement personalization algorithms using Python and Pydantic models

  • Build and maintain DynamoDB tables and NoSQL databases

  • Use Amazon Kinesis to collect, process, and analyze streaming data

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering

  • Strong understanding of AWS native event-driven services

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Experience with data modeling, data quality, and data security

  • Experience with Python and serverless technologies

  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Experience with personalization, Python, Pydantic models, DynamoDB, and NoSQL

  • Experience with Amazon Kinesis
