Robert Half is looking for a Network Engineer with technical expertise in networking hardware and software, to work with a company in the Paper/Packaging field. We need someone with strong attention to detail and a firm grasp of interfacing, security, Internet protocols and server and network infrastructure. Located in the Allentown, Pennsylvania area, this Network Engineer role is an opportunity for long-term contract / temporary to hire employment.

How you will make an impact:

• Maintain a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks

• Deliver high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology like hubs, bridges, hardware and routers

• Collaborate closely with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on implementing, optimizing, and consistently managing of networks

• Initiate and implement network test facilities

• Use traditional and creative methods to engineer enterprise data, voice and video networks

• Provide SME support (LAN, WAN, wireless and network security).

• Perform analysis of network needs and contribute to design of network architecture, integration, and installation.

  Requirements

• Cisco Wireless experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of Cisco Networking

• Well versed in network design and implementation strategies

• Networking experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in business/information systems or computer science.

• More than 5 years of experience in IT Networking, with proven experience designing, building, and managing Cisco environments (switching, routing, security).

• More than 3 years of experience in supporting a production environment.

• More than 3 years of experience in supporting a multi-site/multinational setting.

• Preferred certifications in Cisco technologies or equivalent experience.
