Job Description Content Syndication Specialist Position location is flexible and may office from a branch in Winona, MN - Indianapolis, IN - High Point, NC or Denton, TX Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Content Syndication Specialist, you will be responsible for working with our supplier partners to integrate their product information for their respective product categories. You will be working as a liaison between suppliers and our Product Information Management system to standardize, maintain, update and manage product specific content so that it may be optimized for use throughout the company. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Utilizing system and industry knowledge to drive efficiencies in the product onboarding and enrichment processes o Representing Fastenal as a Subject Matter Expert of content integration for suppliers o Communicating content integration procedures to suppliers o Introducing suppliers' products into our system o Ensuring data quality and consistency during new product activation o Maintaining data integrity for all products within an assigned category o Collecting required Digital Assets for products from suppliers o Developing web content and images such as product notes, related items, SLA's and cross references on Fastenal's eCommerce platform o Contributing towards SEARCH and customer experience as a product data expert REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess or are working towards a degree in Business, Marketing or Communications OR possess industry related work experience o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Willingness to travel, as needed o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Prior experience using business systems, product association and placement o Knowledge of industrial products ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
