The Joint Commission Brand and Communications Multimedia Intern in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois

Overview

Are you passionate about visual storytelling? Are you interested in making a difference in the healthcare community? The Joint Commission is seeking an intern to join our Brand and Communications team, helping to develop multimedia content that supports the company’s brand position and commitment to making sure everyone receives the safest, highest quality, best-value healthcare. We are looking for a creative and flexible mind that can work collaboratively with our team and bring new ideas to the table. This is a paid internship.

Responsibilities

  • Video production and editing

  • Photojournalism

  • Visual content development for use on the company website and social media platforms

  • Compiling distribution lists, collaborating on scripts for both video and podcasts

  • Photo selection and editing

  • Import and organize media content

  • Assist with live and remote recordings

  • Setting up equipment in the green screen studio

The Multimedia Intern will work with and report to the Sr. Multimedia Manager in the Division of Brand and Communications.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field from an accredited college/university.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premier and After Effects

  • Excellent photography and videography skills

  • Graphics capability a plus but not required

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a film/video, journalism, or related communication arts field from an accredited college/university

  • Must be a self-starter, innovative, and hardworking

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

  • Ability to participate within a multi-disciplinary team as well as acting autonomously when appropriate
