ManTech Technical Integration Intern in Sterling, Virginia

ManTech is seeking a motivated Protective Technology Service (PTS) Technical Integration Intern to join our team in the Sterling, VA area providing protective technologies supporting our government customer’s facilities, property and vehicles operating in high threat and austere locations worldwide. The PTS Team develops, installs, integrates and life cycle manages various communication systems, tracking and monitoring Common Operating Pictures (COPs), vehicle integration platforms, and spatial surveillance technology.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The PTS Technician Integration Intern will successfully complete routine assignments under the guidance of more senior teammates.

  • Will be trained to provide routine operations and maintenance support to multiple tactical and land mobile radio systems.

  • Will be trained to provide routine operations and maintenance support on networking and technical equipment and theories (i.e. Harris, Exelis, Kenwood, Motorola, TAK, RF theory).

  • The Technician Integration Intern will successfully complete routine assignments under the guidance of more senior teammates.

  • Will apply basic knowledge of vehicle systems (electronics, power, cooling) to assist in all aspects of vehicle integration projects.

  • Will be trained to provide routine support in the integration, testing, and maintenance of various technical disciplines across multiple skill levels

  • Will be trained on how to manipulate various tracking and monitoring platforms and Common Operating Picture (COP) concepts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under supervision.

  • Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team.

  • Currently pursuing a STEM related degree such as engineering, computer science, or cyber related field

  • Course projects or club projects that relate to requirement definition and problem solving

  • Work and collaborate within an agile team as well as with the other interns

  • Understanding the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of certain documents and information. - Adhering to company policies regarding data security and privacy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of experience working in an IT Services or Technical Integration related field.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).

  • Technology-savvy, can adopt new tools

  • Innovative with new solutions and tools

  • Excellent decision-making skills

  • Excellent formal written and verbal communication

  • Team player and can work collaboratively across different work groups

  • Motivated to work in a hybrid work environment with hybrid teams

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Individuals must be a U.S. Citizen and either hold an active US Security Clearance or must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance.
